What happens in sex therapy?
The first few sessions of all therapy typically includes a comprehensive assessment where you will be asked a variety of questions to help me determine what might be going on and how to help the best way. The addition in sex therapy is I will also include questions about your sexual health and relationships. We discuss how frequently to meet, your goals of therapy, your progress on your goals ongoing and when you have met your goals. When needed, I can provide referrals to medical practitioners such as urologists, gynecologists and pelvic floor physical therapists to address the physiology of the body.
Do I have to be in a relationship to be in sex therapy?
Sex therapy can be done on an individual or couple basis regardless of your current relationship status.
